About Us
Hello, I’m Sarah — founder and owner of Pet Chauffeur Care Services.
Every dog deserves care that’s as individual as they are. I know this firsthand, having spent over 14 years supporting my own dog Jessie through puppyhood, anxiety, reactivity, and now her senior years. Along the way, I’ve learned how to safely introduce nervous dogs to new friends, manage food guarding and anxious behaviours, and adapt routines to meet the changing needs of an older pet — from hearing and sight loss to mobility and diet adjustments.
Throughout Jessie’s life, I’ve made it a priority to educate myself so I could support her at every stage. From teaching her to wait at the side of the road before crossing, to introducing hand signals alongside verbal commands to prepare for the day she might lose her hearing — which later proved invaluable — and even developing gentle touch cues for when her sight began to fade. These skills, along with positive reinforcement techniques, have given me a deep understanding of how dogs learn and communicate. I can teach younger dogs basic commands, help them walk calmly on a lead without pulling, and remain attentive when walking different dogs together, always ready to step in if they don’t get along. While I focus strongly on patience and positive reinforcement, I also know when to bring a calm, confident presence to guide more unruly dogs.
These are some of the challenges many pet owners face over the years, and I believe that navigating these changes — and adjusting our lifestyle around our dogs as they transition through different stages of life — is just as important as raising a child or caring for elderly loved ones.
I started Pet Chauffeur Care Services so I could continue caring for Jessie as she ages, while also helping other pet owners through the different stages of life with their own dogs. My goal is to give owners peace of mind and dogs the highest standard of care — whether that means structured walks for young pups who need guidance, or gentle outings and companionship for senior dogs who require a slower pace.
With patience, experience, and a genuine love for animals, I provide a service you can rely on — because I know how much trust it takes to put your pet in someone else’s hands.
